Abir Murmu is a dynamic IT infrastructure engineer with over a decade's worth of experience in the IT and Telecommunication field. He is well-versed in Cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP, and has strong exposure to the Big Data stack of Hadoop, HDP, Ambari, and Oozie, as well as Security compliance with Kerberos and KMS. Abir is also experienced in ETL Platforms like Talend, TAC, BD, and DI. Currently, Abir works as a Technical Support Specialist (Product Expert L3 - Global) at EXFO, where he works with the flagship product line - NGXP, a 5G probe-based solution. His responsibilities include preparing cases for software bugs, leading complex troubleshooting, reproducing customer issues in self-built lab environments, and qualifying fixes provided by engineering. Abir also participates in customer issues prioritization calls with various support teams, builds automation, and actively participates in the scripting strategy to restore and resolve issues. He is involved with the software development team for future development and improvements to be implemented from the collected customer cases from the support group. Abir ensures the transfer of technical knowledge to support and engineering teams. Abir has previously worked with EXFO telecom products and Datopic Technologies. At EXFO, he worked as a Specialist - Service Assurance & Analytics, working with Probe-based passive monitoring solutions for telecom networks, big data, analytics, and more. At Datopic Technologies, Abir worked on multiple projects with various platforms for UK clients, including Cloud (AWS), IT infrastructure (OS, server, network), Big Data (Hadoop), and Talend. Abir has an Executive MBA with a specialization in Information Technology from the Indian School of Business Management and Administration. He also has a Post Graduate degree in Computing: Software Technology from Robert Gordon University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Additionally, he has a Diploma in Engineering in Computer Science from Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray Polytechnic - West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.
